Day 6: Off to physical therapy for the first time Day 6: Off to physical therapy for the first time post op. Stitches were supposed to come out the day before but the surgeon cancelled. Rescheduled for the next day. Brace locked until then.

The surgery is fairly quick and the nerve block co The surgery is fairly quick and the nerve block combined with oxycodone for a couple of days made the pain very tolerable. Exercises begin immediately. You have to move that leg.

I finally had my ACL reconstructed. It’s been a I finally had my ACL reconstructed. It’s been a long year of physical therapy, surgery to repair the damaged meniscus, more physical therapy, delays caused by Covid-19, and finally, the choice to delay surgery to enjoy late summer.

We’ve been dealing with warmer than average weat We’ve been dealing with warmer than average weather here and it seems it will never cool down. As relatively new East Coasters, yesterday we thought longingly of Fall—something we would never do in So Cal, because September and October are scorchers. So plans to finish steaming the painted wallpaper off of our 133 year old plaster walls has stalled. It can wait. Time for a cold beverage and a good book in front of a fan instead—or a nap on the Chesterfield.
